MY APPROACH

I am a proponent of simplicity when it comes to self-care. Living a balanced, healthful life is not about being on trend with the latest diet, wellness product or physical practice. Holistic, balanced health requires being attuned to our needs as individuals, needs that often change as we move through the different phases of life. These changes need to be taken into account when implementing new habits.

The wellness industry plays on our fears—stress, looks, weight gain, aging, etc.—to market and sell products. There are no magic potions, expensive “superfoods,” devices or equipment that will “fix” us. I do believe there is a time and place for tools, supplements, and devices. However, over the years of working with different clients and specific concerns, I have witnessed major changes when we begin with a strong foundation of the basic tenets of health to re-set the body. Sometimes, something as simple as working on improving our sleep by using natural sunlight to re-set our circadian rhythm, and breathing techniques to relax the mind can do wonders to relieve symptoms of fatigue, anxiety, hormonal imbalance, and weight gain. With clients, we always start there, and build upon that foundation.

My main focus is to help you cultivate habits and acquire tools for a lifetime. The process may take time, but the results will be sustainable.

I am rooted in the lineage of women practitioners and healers who have historically sought to bring different voices and levels of care into the health industry. As my mentor Dr. Aviva Romm says, conventional medicine has historically not placed the interest of women first. I am committed to providing support to women seeking supplemental alternatives through the different phases of life from the onset of menstruation (menarch) through pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause.

Through personalized coaching, I’ll work alongside you to develop an integrated plan to achieve full body wellness—often combining the practices of nutrition, exercise, stress management, mindset, herbal support, and more. I draw from various techniques that I’ve learned over almost 20 years of working as a whole foods private chef, yoga instructor, Integrative Nutrition coach, Herbal Medicine for Women trainee, and my own healing journey with chronic illness.
